An interdenominational church. We welcome people from all denominations. A multi-cultural church, a church where all people are welcome, a Full Gospel Church, a church where the spirit and the word live and move. A church which offers a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, beginning with salvation and moving to a fullness of life, which can only come through the Spirit of God in a surrendered life. A body of believers with a hunger and thirst for truth. We are passionate about the Word of God because we are hungry to know Him more. A congregation whose heart is set upon true, Christ-centered worship. A fellowship of believers who are burdened to pray and seek the heart of God for heaven sent revival. Let God speak to your life today. His thoughts towards you are precious and more than can be numbered. He cares for you in ways unimagined.
Aaron Trimble Pastors the West Point Family Worship Center with his wife Sara. Aaron has lived his whole life in Cuming county Nebraska outside of 7 years in Lincoln, Nebraska where he graduated from UNL college of Journalism in August of 2000 with a Major in Advertising. West Point was a second home town to me; it was where we showed hogs and cattle at the Cuming County Fair. Where we shopped and sold cattle every year at the sale barn. It was where we had family reunions in the park and went out to my favorite restaurant, the Pizza Hut. I have always loved this town! In high school it was where we drove mains on Friday and Saturday nights. Where I once got in a fight behind the city auditorium with some Scribner kids. It is where I was interviewed as a local athlete by KTIC sports director Russ Herman when JD’s was still the Neligh house. Little did I know that one day I would be preaching the gospel from that same station? Praise God.”
Sara Trimble comes as a blessing from God all the way from West Lutton, Malton, England in the northern part of Yorkshire. Sara was saved at the age of 18 and led to Alabama to work as a volunteer at an orphanage called Adullam House for children whose parents are incarcerated. There she spent a year which would further open the door for her to attend the SOC International in Beaumont, TX. Sara was able to travel to several places in America and it was in Chino, CA where she met Aaron & his family. The two met later in the same year in Quincy, Illinois at the School of Christ that she met Aaron and life as they knew it would never be the same. God is good! The two differences in many ways and separated by oceans and continents were now brought close by the wonderful workings of God’s grace in salvation. Aaron and Sara were married in Chino, Ca. in January 2006 by B.H. Clendennen and Duke Downs are two of their fathers in the faith.
Why are we here? Christian education is the disciple-making arm of the church. Christian education ministry is concerned about reaching people for Christ. But it does not end there. Effective Christian education ministries are committed to working with people to help them become deeply devoted and obedient followers of Jesus who are maturing as Christians and using their gifts to build and bless others. It involves Sunday school ministry, but it also involves all ministries with a disciple making focus.
